The material for these beads is found in Central Asia, in regions along the silk road where the ancient kingdoms of Sogdiana and Bactria once thrived. If you look carefully, you will see that these beads have a unique patina endowed by the mineral deposits where the glass lay buried. Each glass piece has been individually drilled and threaded to create a strand. No two strands are alike but you will receive a strand similar to that pictured. Bead count includes small spacer beads. Total strand length is 25" including string with approximately 14-16" of beads. Thickness of beads range between 5-8mm.
