This beautiful strand of old glass trade beads is comprised of several unique varieties. The large black beads are likely of European provenance and are sometimes referred to as Opate beads by African Traders. Other beads represented on this strand include Faceted Russian Blue Beads and clear Dogon Beads. This is a long strand measuring nearly 40" in length with individual beads measuring approximately 11-27 x 13-21mm. The beads have a large hole measuring 5-7mm and have been nicely strung on traditional raffia. Only one strand available!
