The Midnight Brass color is black, and exactly what I wanted (not gunmetal). The 21 gauge is sturdy, yet easily bendable to make loops. These headpins are well made. The Bead Chest staff are prompt and responsive with communicating - and great followup, as they notified me when these were back in stock.
