These authentic brass bells are handmade by the Yoruba people of Nigeria in West Africa. The Yoruba tribe are one of the most significant ethnic groups in Africa and are known for their rich tradition of visual arts including bronze work, textile making, claywork and much more. These vintage brass bells have been strung in a traditional manner with colorful glass spacer beads likely of Czech origin. Each strand is unique and may have different colored spacer beads. Individual bells measure approximately 5-23 x 6-16mm and a hole size of approximately 2mm. Each strand includes approximately 50 bells, plus red spacer beads.
