These authentic vintage blue Vaseline beads are rare both in their color and in their shape. Made from Bohemian Glass during the 1800's, beads such as these were likely faceted by hand for export to Africa. During the Golden Period of Glass Making the Glassworks in around Bohemia were world renowned for the quality and variety of glass objects that were made including chandeliers, glassware, and beads, and other pieces of art. Vaseline beads are most commonly found in red, yellow, and green and most often in the faceted bicone shape. These cornerless cube-shaped beads are hard to find. This 30" strand consists of approximately 60 beads each measuring about 10mm across. This is a unique strand and you will receive the exact strand pictured.
