Admire this unique strand of beads made from ancient glass pieces found in the region along the historic silk road. Commonly referred to as Roman Glass, the material for these beads is derived from ancient cups, vases, and perfume containers that have sustained the travails of time. If you look carefully, you will see that these beads have a unique patina endowed by the mineral deposits where the glass lay buried. Each glass piece has been individually drilled and threaded to create a strand. No two strands are alike but you will receive a strand similar to that pictured. Each bead measures approximately 2-18 x 6-13mm with a hole size of approximately 2mm. You will receive a full strand measuring approximately 33". Note that while the material is said to be of old, possibly ancient origin, the precise age of the glass has not been independently verified.
