A beautiful strand of powder glass African beads, made by the people of Krobo Mountain (Ghana, West Africa ). These beads are oftentimes made by replicating the designs found on old Venetian FANCY trade beads. Made from bottles and other glass items that are turned into powder, then poured into molds in order to create this nice looking drum shaped beads. Decorations on the beads are made with a paste made of colored glass powder and water, which is applied using a thin wooden stalk. They are cooked a second time to fix the decor. The beads are handmade.
