At The Bead Chest, we’re constantly inspired by the incredible creativity of our community, and this month we’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on Lindsay Kampen aka @waves.and.wonder. What began as a fun activity with a friend has blossomed into a deeply meaningful jewelry journey. From making bracelets as a way to heal and give back after her breast cancer diagnosis, to building a thriving Etsy shop, her story is one of resilience, creativity, and pure joy in the design process. Every piece she creates carries both beauty and intention, and we’re so excited to share her journey with you.

What kind of jewelry pieces are your favorite to make?
What types of beads are your favorite to work with?
Where can our followers purchase designs from you?

What is your biggest jewelry design achievement?
Honestly, every time someone purchases one of my bracelets or necklaces, it feels like a huge accomplishment. I’m always deeply honored and humbled that someone sees value in my work and chooses to wear something I’ve created.
A special milestone happened last summer when I had just started selling bracelets—The Bead Chest reposted one of my Instagram posts! That moment was both exciting and surreal. And now, to even be considered for a Designer Spotlight feature—wow! I’m truly blown away. I’m just a mom following a creative passion, and to be recognized in this way means so much. Thank you!
These might seem like small wins to some, but to me, they bring genuine joy and encouragement. I don’t take any of it for granted.

It’s clear that for @waves.and.wonder, jewelry making is more than just beads and string, it’s about storytelling, gratitude, and connection. Each bracelet or necklace holds a piece of her journey, from recovery to celebration, and her designs exude both strength and elegance. We’re so honored to feature her as part of our Designer Spotlight series and can’t wait to see what she dreams up next. 💚✨
