Designer Spotlight: @VidaJewelryDesigns: Inspired by Color, Texture & Passion
In this month’s Designer Spotlight, we’re thrilled to introduce Paty Damera aka @vidajewelrydesigns. What began as a personal search for quality, handcrafted jewelry turned into a creative journey that now inspires a vibrant community of jewelry lovers. Paty’s designs celebrate bold colors, natural gemstones, and timeless pearls, each piece reflecting her passion for texture, beauty, and story. From gemstone necklaces to stackable bracelets, her work embodies a perfect blend of craftsmanship and individuality.
How did you get into jewelry making?
It all started because I wanted to make a piece for myself and I couldn’t find what I wanted with quality materials at the stores. I took a few local jewelry classes just to learn a few basics and read a lot and slowly started making pieces. Back when I started there was no Instagram, only Facebook. I shared what I made and some friends asked me if I sold it- much to my dismay- so I said “If you want to buy it, sure!” And that started me on this journey.
What kind of jewelry pieces are your favorite to make?My style has evolved through the years but I finally found what my hands and heart love to make and its multi gemstone beaded necklaces. I love mixing a cornucopia of gems in different sizes and shapes and textures to make each necklace an interesting piece. Those are some of my favorite pieces to work with along with my stretch bracelets which my ladies love. I love to mix gemstones and pearls into stackable pieces they can mix and match.
What types of beads are your favorite to work with?
I love color- if you look at my feed you’ll see how it is bold and bright. I gravitate toward natural semi precious gemstones and all sorts of pearls. I personally love tourmalines because of their range of colors and opals because their flash makes it one that combines with any gemstone you pair it with. Blues are a favorite color of mine so you’ll often see me working with any and all shades including laid, turquoise, and apatite! And I think pearls are timeless and can go with everything so I always try to incorporate some type of pearl into my designs as well.

What is your biggest jewelry design achievement?
I would say being in business despite the constant flux the last few years is my biggest achievement! But besides that I would say it was being able to work with a customer of mine who opened a store in the Florida Keys and having my designs as part of her store.

Who are some jewelry designers that inspire you?There truly are so many that have inspired me since I started this business over 10 years ago; however some of the ones I love are Susan from The Bijou Babe, Kristen from Malleo Designs, and Mericia from Melrie Jewelry - all vastly different designers from what I do but I admire their craft and skill in how they design and make their pieces.
