Designer Spotlight: From Bead Class to Business with @juliemariestudio ☀️

What began as a simple beading class with her daughters quickly became a full-blown passion, and soon, a business devoted to making clients feel empowered, inspired, and uniquely beautiful. From her hairstylist chair to her jewelry studio, Julie infuses every design with intention, soulful energy, and a touch of daily magic.

How did you get into jewelry making?

It all started when I took my two young daughters to a beaded bracelet class. They were over it in 30 minutes—but I was hooked! I kept going back for more classes, and soon I was making beautiful pieces to wear to work as a hairstylist. My clients started asking for their own stacks… and just like that, Julie Marie Studio was born!

What kind of jewelry pieces are your favorite to make?

Bracelets with intention and meaning. Helping my clients feel empowered & beautiful is my mission. I love creating pieces people feel connected to—whether it’s for healing, empowerment, or just a little daily sparkle.

What is your biggest jewelry design achievement?

Being selected for a juried jewelry publication! It meant so much knowing a panel of designers and editors chose my work to feature & publish. Such a proud moment!

Who are some jewelry designers that inspire you?

One was a woman named Polly, she is sadly gone now. She owned a bead store in my hometown and designed the most amazing Boho Jewelry. When I would do her hair, I would inspect & admire what she had on that day!! Lol

Also, my slay sisters! One is not a jewelry designer but an amazing soap creator. They are an incredible group of amazing women business owners & we support and inspire each other every day!!
